Ex Cathedra is the flagship of the Razgriz dynasty. It is a very old starship : indeed, it was wrestled from a space hulk nine millenia ago by the very first Warrant Holder, Mort Von Razgriz, which received his Warrant from the hands of the God-Emperor Himself.
The ship was the only survivor of the dynasty fleet during the infamous Fensk Calamity in 359M41, when the Battleship Tempest's Child crashed on the orbital station, during Angevin Crusade.
Ex Cathedra was then desarmed and stranded on the ground of Sinophia herself on the top of Hive Agropolis, where she served as a cathedral and palace for almost a millennium, while the Razgriz Warrant of Trade was heavily disputed in numerous succession trials. Though the millenia and this longue period on the ground have weakened her strucural integrity, she was still fit for the void when her current Captain got at last her Warrant of Trade back. Among rubbles and a major hive quake, above her ruined craddle and a decaying world, Ex Cathedra fiery plasma drives roared once more, and the cruiser went back to space.

Fast in both real space and the Aethyr, the ship is ostentatiously luxurious, with gilded vaulted ceilings, statues and paintings and azulejos everywhere. The circulation inside is insured by many lines of steam trains ; there is even a special tour line on the hull. Ex Cathedra has her small hydroponic farms, as well as a magnificent hanging garden, a concert room including a 200 m tall organ, and her own Cathedral.

But in spite of all this, Ex Cathedra is a warship. And a dangerous one at that.
Ex Cathedra is currently being repaired in the drydocks of Footfall. She has already gained an impressive record : two raiders, seven frigates, three cruisers, four Slaught vessels and a Yu'vath entity named the Whispered have been destroyed or captured by the proud vessel, thanks to her lethal broadsides and her attack crafts, as well in one case by a ramming action.
